The first thing you need to do when starting any new business is to get yourself into the right niche. You need to center your website around a topic that will bring in hungry visitors that you can market affiliate products to. Once you choose your niche, you need to come up with a title for your website (and your business) that not only tells your visitors what your site is about, but also drives some organic search engine traffic to keep your advertising costs down.
To do this, imagine what your future visitors will be typing into Google to find what it is you have to offer. Try to incorporate a couple of those words into the domain name of your blog. Eventually, you will get natural search engine traffic this way and once you monetize that traffic by selling affiliate products, your profits will steadily grow.
Finally, you need to actually get your website set up properly so that your visitors have a place to land and you have a place to show off your products. Don't worry, this is not as scary as you'd think!
